Writer's block, help!

Ok, so I already have the script for the first episode of my series done, but I heard from someone(might've been here) that it's best not to make your main series until you've made other things so that when the main series is made, it will be much better since I'd know how to do everything right. For the past few days though, I haven't been able to think of anything. I'm more of a comedy person, but when I've written something, it somehow is copying someone elses work, which I don't wanna do. I'd do action shorts, or maybe drama, but I can't find enough people to help with those sort of things. Can anyone offer some words of advice? It would be much appreciated

It just takes time. Its not that easy that they just come right away. Take time off for a day or two and just play.

If you want to get lots of inspiration, read books, watch TV, watch movies, look hard at the minute details of high fantasy worlds. You can't go into something without inspiration and something to base your stuff off. It's said that Warcraft was based mostly off the Warhammer world (I do not know if this is true), but now take a look and see how different the two worlds are.

What game are you doing your videos for? It would probably be best to go through here, maybe make a post, asking fellow people of your game to maybe get together on an united server and make your movies together. If your game happens to be WoW, well count me in. |

What server are you on? I have couple different ones I play on, Blade's Edge, Silver Hand, and another one I just can't remember. Also I'm going to attempt to make a brewfest vid, let me know if your interested. -edit- No brewfest for me lol, after 2hrs of updates i still had 3hrs more. |

I'm on Kalecgos, the writer's block isn't so bad now that I have my first movie out :) so I kinda know what more I can do, thanks for the help to all of you, and yes, I'd be interested in being in your vid

It took me two months to sort out my show I had written the script and got everything set up I just needed to take a look around for some ideas and how to use it. Have a look around on the internet at stuff read some good books and watch some DVDs :D When you start your show make a myspace and post it here more people will see it then :P dont know if this helps at all but thought I would offer my help. ye and have a look at my show its still being made but its all good for now. |

I is creative, i can set up a indepth story within minutes of my mind, its scary actually because its twisted :X
