It doesn't matter what resolution you use, so long as the Aspect Ratio is right, we won't get black bars.

And the most common resolutions on the internet are #1: 1280x800, and #2 1280x1024.
Although, that's including everyone that uses the internet, which mostly isn't gamers.
In fact, 1024x768 still holds about 20% of the resolutions on the internet. That's why my blog is designed for 1024x768. 800x600 is now down to about 2-5% :p

Not if you want to view it fullscreen. If I've made a 800x600 video, and it is watched on a 1600x1200, the quality will be lower, since the video will be stretched on the fullscreen. And this way we ALSO finds out the aspect ratio of the people here :3
