As the title states I'm struggling.
I've used FRAPS up until now, and I am very new to this.
But FRAPS pretty much fail me when it comes to recording in high resolution. (1920x1200).
It makes my ingame and video FPS drop below 30, which is unacceptable.
So here I am, downloaded WeGame and started recording. At max 1024x760 it seems? Is there a way to change this?
I've also invested in Sony Vegas 9.0, but I fail to get the most out of my clips after rendering.
I could really need some UPDATED advises to how to render the clips, in a way that they get crispy,
sexy and really with a high resolution.
For example are there any effects used in Sony Vegas 9.0 to provoke this?
My computer setup should be pretty neat:
CPU: i7 920@3,3Ghz
GPU: ATI HD 4890 x 2 - Crossfired!
HDD: Intel 80GB X25-M SSD (OS disc)
Western Digital 1TB Black x 2 - Raid0.
Memory: OCZ DDR3 6 GB Platinum
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EX58-EXTREME X58
Cooling: Air cooled with extra fans + new top-notch CPU cooler!
Screen: Samsung SyncMaster 2693HM (26")
All in all, I'm very new to this. I need tips and help, because I feel like I'm doing something wronge here.

You can not change the resolution the WeGame Client records at. And i don't know the answer to the Sony Vegas question.

But isn't 1024x760 a bit on the low side? There must be something I can do to up the resolution?
Hope someone else can help me with the sony vegas question then.
Thanks for the fast reply at least ;)

Well, my system is much weaker than yours and I have no problems with Fraps.
But at least for the Source games you can use the built in recorder, you can turn everything to the maximum, even transparency antaliasing and the video gets as smooth at it can be.;)

DKill3r, what resolution do you record with when using FRAPS? It's very outdated, and I'm goign below 30FPS when recording 1920x1200 - I hoped WeGame could offer me better preformance, but if it doesn't record in 1920x1200 (or at least HD quality on Youtube) then I'm not sure if this is the right software for me.

Why don't you just record with the Source Recorder, play it back when you finish what you want to record then just record that. Havn't tried it before but i know it does work but i'm not sure if the FPS will go down.

Maybe I never mentioned, the game I'm about to record is World of Warcraft - Will that work with the Source recorder? O.o

Ah, no. The Source Recorder is only for Source games like Team Fortress 2, CS:S and Garry's Mod. I'm really suprised that with your computer, you get under 30. My computer is way more crappier than that by being close to 8 years old, and i can get 25-35 when i record World Of Warcraft. But thats when i walk around. lol

No, the source recorder only works for TF2 and other Valve games like it such as Garry's mod and Counter Strike: Course. What you could try is Xfire, not sure what it records at but it comes out decent. Just give it a small test, and its free too.
Edit: Post steal PenguinGeneral. Also, how old is your version of FRAPS? That might have something to do with it.

My version is 2.9.8. build 7777. It's all well on the quality when I record - But it gets laggy at the high resolution as 1920x1200. I still think my PC in total is more than enough to FRAPS in full screen mode without dropping under 30FPS, which mine does. Maybe I can change some graphic card settnings? And advises how to best render a a clip is gladly taken.
