Hey guys I have a bit of a question. How do you get characters to move across background smoothly? I work with Sony Vegas, and I can't figure it out. I can record a person walking in WoW Model Viewer, but I don't know how to make him walk across a background once it's in Sony Vegas. Can anyone help?

I dont play wow so i dont really know what you are talking about their, but you might be able to do it with keyframes. In the pan/crop thing.

This is kinda complicated, so let me know if I'm being unclear.
Consider the different layers like sheets of paper stacked on top of each other. If you key out the background of the top sheet of paper, you can move it around to give the illusion that the image on the top image on the paper is moving across the background, while in reality the entire sheet of paper is moving.
Now to make the top sheet of paper move you use something called keyframes. Keyframes denote the position and condition of an object at a given time. For example I can say I want my gnome at point A at time 1 and point C at time 2, and the program will automatically fill in that the gnome moves through point B in the time between.
I don't have Sony Vegas myself, so I can't really post screenshots of doing it, but hopefully this will help in some way.
Signature is currently undergoing bug testing.
