 the game itself can be fun for lower spec computers but this draws kids the game is full of 10 year old "Gimme free gold" "be my bf" "NOOB (which is used far to often in this new gaming world)" are all factors which anoy the hell out of me and im sure are what keeping a large amount of the more mature gaming comunity of runescape

 When i first joined Runescape i thought it fun. Then i became a paying member, and realised how sucky it was. I was paying extra money to do crap all!(apart from stealing cakes...that was fun) So I went out and bought world of warcraft.

 Yeah my friend used to be addicted to Runescape. He wanted me to play but I just smiled and nodded knowing that in a couple of months, he'd completely forget about it. And he did. =P

 Haha. I did play that game for quite some time. And I guess I enjoyed it, even tough it was a couple of years ago.
Now I'm actually up to date here, my really old camp had runescape.com as Firefox homepage, the big graphical update they're doing is that they're introducing textures. Yes because they are a webbased game they haven't been using textures almost at all.
Which really is the opposite way of what Blizzard has been doing with WoW. That is how they succeed to make WoW so beautiful, all the work with shaders and textures.

 It sucks because the graphics are awful, the combat system sucks and the community arent the nicest of people, always calling eachother noobs
