I have a P4 3.0ghz 2gig ram and a 7300gs card :)

they all suck -.-

but i found a x1950xt used to buy for 75 euros, is it worth it? since i cant afford anything else.

Im planning to play games with 1024/568 or 800*600 resolution.. how will the new ones go?

Maybe not the best indicator of how 'worth having' a card is, but the benchmark charts can help you get an idea of how it compares to a card you know...

Looks like it would be pretty good if you can't get something better for similar money (I have no idea about euro prices)

Go here http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlis...
(since you are talking about euro's i guess you live in Europe so this is a good place to buy graphic cards) DONT buy an ATI card you will hate it and it will probably not run what you want it to run.
The one and only.

Talk about laziness Coedman. All you have to do is a simple google to find out how much 75euros is in dollars or any other currency, well not including WoW gold.

So to clearify:
75 Euros = 118.2225 U.S. dollars
75 Euros = 59.7747497 UK £
75 Euros = 12 197.9468 Japanese yen
75 Euros = 697.30098 Swedish kronor

A friend of mine bought a similar card for around the same price. But I will recommend you to buy a wholly new computer instead of upgrading your old. It's only going to get expensive.
Another friend of mine picked together a mid-range computer for 6000sek wich is 645 Euros. All inclusive screen, keyboard, mouse and headset.

I think you misunderstood me there Rovanion. Exchange rate has nothing to do with it. I can estimate the conversion in my head most of the time...

Different markets mean different sales tax, import tax, profit margins etc. So what seems cheap or expensive to me could easily be the opposite to you.

I also don't follow ATi cards because they've only disappointed me over the past four years.

I'm not being lazy here. The amount of research required far outweighs the use I'd get from it.

I agree with coedman. ATi cards have given me nothing but shit for years.
Go with Nvidia.

Oh ok, thanks yall :D

is a 8600GT enough for like vrysis, medium 800*600?

May 25, 2008 04:29AM

I have a 8600GT, and I can pull of Crysis at Medium at 1024x768.

Go for 8800GT if you can though.

I don't know how much tax there is in the US but I know that it's much lower then it's here in Sweden where everything except some things like food and books have a 25% tax added to the price.

Nothing wrong with the nVidia 8600 cards but if you want the most balanced graphics card money/performence you are going for the 8800gt. 8800gs is not worth the money and 8800gx is just overprized.
