Well , as you can see from the title , I am deciding about buying RA3 , but , I have been playing RA2 for about , all my childhood ( and im 13 ?? ) Now , im gonna be writing some things about RA2 which I liked , and I would like your opinion about if RA3 is similiar.

First of all , the no1 thing i loved about RA2 is the great soundtrack . I already heard the song in the RA3 intro , but does RA3 have the same constant rock soundtrack , or does the soundtrack stop for certain parts in missions ?

Another thing is , that RA2 had the most awsome , fast-paced , strategy gameplay ever .I played the 3 demo and , i just think that the action is too realistic and perfect , you know what i mean. The soldiers from the 2 factions differed , and made them unqiue in every way . I really hope its the same with RA3 .

I hope someone can give me some info about it and how the gameplay feels [:

^NOTE : My *cough*amazing*cough* skillz + playing with Pin on only American servers = Epic K/D

Let me put it this way. Red Alert 3 is an excellent game. Rarely have I seen such a diversity between all three factions and all of them are equally as good in the hands of a skilled player. (23-0 w/l ratio as the soviets :P)

But that being said. It shouldn't be part of the RA universe. The story sucks, it's full of loopholes and the acting is worse than in Tiberium Wars (That GDI briefing lady never blinks!!).

But all in all, it's a good game.

I like red alert 3 a lot,but I spot one flaw in the russian story.
As in RA2 you fight along side someone and he betrays you!Couldnt they come up with something more original?

I liked the revamp that RA3 did with the resource system. The idea of having extremely valuable resource crystals just lying around on the surface of the planet always seemed weird to me. Granted this has justification in the Tiberium games, and might even have some in the Starcraft games as well, it just seems odd in RA2 and other RTS. The Earth is a pretty crowded place, and fairly well surveyed. You'd figure that any sort of valuable mineral deposits on the surface would have been stripped away by the time RA2 took place. The fact that RA3 implemented mines that you had to control made much more sense without losing any of the resource point holding strategies that RTS games are so well known for.

I've got a big bag of heads here! I'm gonna put them on some pikes, oh yeah!

According to me Red Alert 3 have a good story. Build time machine go back in time, kill Einstein and prevent nuclear weapons from existence, and it's the only way to fight the normal war today without it. Soundtrack is great in Red Alert 3 it contains a lot of rock music. And I like Red Alert 3 because they added Rising Sun into the war and it makes game even more interesting. Units have more options and possibilites, they put the planning mode into the game that helped me a houndrer times. For me Red Alert 3 is far more better strategy game then all previous games of this genre.

Red Alert 2 is the miles and miles better than Red Alert 3 in my opinion. But that's only me.

And the soundtrack of RA3 is a bad copy of Red Alert 2s. It's kinda like the soundtrack of Yuris Revenge.

Rovanion of Manticora and The Epic Crusaders of Zenedar EU has spoken.

My opinions are my opinions.
You dont have to like them.

Tough call, since I did not buy the RA3 expansion but I LOVED Yuri's Revenge in RA2. RA2 is awesome, and I don't care if it doesn't match anyone's ideals I really had a blast with Generals and Zero Hour. I thought RA2 was about the best RTS I ever played, superior to Starcraft even, but as I said, I can't give an honest opinion on RA3 until I try the expansion.

You know it.

Red Alert 2 had a better story but I think that Red Alert 3 online gameplay beats Red Alert 2 anyday. Allowing us to build on both land and water made a big difference :D

They're both great games but, I do prefer RA2 over RA3
