I doubt I'll get it. Pin's been on my ass since yesterday about it and my friend Corey has it for PS3 and he's flipping shit about how "amazing" it is. I really don't like these 4 player coop games mainly because whatever happens always leads to someone getting pissed off because someone got something they wanted and they won't give it to them. A perfect example of this would be, as you said, guns. If you and your friends kill a bigass mob and someone does a shit load and gets nothing and a noob gets a really good gun you wanted after you clicked your ass off to kill the enemies, you're going to be pissed. I might get it, I might not. It's an "if I have the spare money" kind of deal. If I do think about getting it, it won't be until after Christmas when I get 300$ from my parents. That 300$ will probably buy me clothes my parents didn't get and most certainly Battlefield Bad Company 2. If I have any after that and I don't have anything else I want, I'll get it... maybe...

It's fully fleshed out as a single player game too. While it is designed with co-op in mind, they certainly didn't leave anything out for single player.

my question is this: say I already have a huge graphically pretty, multigun game (fallout 3), I also have a handy multiplayer FPS (TF2), as well as a handy group gear/reward game (WoW)
Asside from having to switch games whenever I want one or the other, what does Borderlands do to draw me in?
(I say this because my money situation is more then 3rd world country right now.)

I'm bringing retro back, you newbie gamers don't know how to act.

Just wanted to say this real quick before you guys start calling borderlands' art style "original". Prince of Persia did it as well. Just figured I'd make sure no one says that Borderlands is anywhere close to original as far as the graphics. I've thought about it some more, I'm still not completely sure on whether I'll get the game or not. I honestly doubt I'll be able to find another 2 people other than pin (unless Blubo likes it, then I'll have to find 1) to join us. I don't want to be fucked in the ass by horrible AI.

Don't know what you're really worried about. The AI is perfect for the type of game it is. (an action RPG). You'll see enemies ducking behind walls, but that's about it. Go into it playing an action game, not a tatical shooter, or even a call of duty, and you'll really enjoy yourself. Also as I said, it's got a full single player game and you can take your single player characters online at any given time, so no play time is wasted.

I do not believe that l4d2 will be boring as fast as l4d, I've been researching a lot when it comes to l4d2 because i am an author for gaming articles on a Norwegian gaming site, and this looks much more different

From what I've heard, the single player is a bit weak. Without multiple players, you tend to get stuck with a much smaller selection of enemies to fight. Still, I might snag it in the spring, or if Steam sells it for super cheap.

The single player is in no way weak. I've played it over 20 hours already (mostly single player).
