Not even worth asking. Everyone knows that Gordon Freeman would win, well, if only flying crowbars existed... ;P

A crowbar is much stronger/lethal than a knife.

GET HIM GORDON!!! *Uses gravity gun and throws Master Chief with his metallic suit far far away*

Master Chief barely survives the throw.

After Halo 3 Master Chief has lost his reputation...

Haha, Suicid3, I wouldn't have even caught what I said if you hadn't mentioned it. John 117, Spartan 117...I think I called him John Spartan because of the Demolition Man; that's his name. Somehow I got that confused.

In any case, all time paradox wankery aside, assuming they had an actual battle Gordon Freeman would win, but only because I'm assuming a few things. The actual outcome would depend on a couple variables:

Gordon would win instantly if he had the super gravity gun. Master Chief may be heavily armored, but the Mjolnir armor is weak against concussive attacks. Gordon would pick him up and repeatedly slam him into the ground, shaking him up inside all that armor, until he turned into red goo.

If it came down to straight firepower, and Gordon didn't have his s. gravgun, odds would probably be about even on both sides. Depends on the heaviest weapon the other guy's packing (RPG in Gordon's case or Spartan laser for MC). Toss a coin; it's anybody's match.

In a melee battle, MC would win. While Gordon's crowbar is the most powerful melee weapon in the universe, easily beating out MC's plasma sword, Chief has the advantage because he doesn't have to take time to switch from a gun to a melee weapon; he can simply club Gordon Freeman with the butt of his rifle. Gordon wouldn't have time in a fight to switch between his weapon to the crowbar, not fast enough to stop MC's vicious pistol whip.

So there you have it, a completely factual interpretation of how things would play out, depending on the variables. Note that all of this is moot, because if Gordon's involved, you know that the G-man isn't going to allow anyone to harm his "property," and will step in before anyone can lay a hand on Gordon.

G-MAN WILL ERASE MASTER CHIEF FROM TIME AND SPACE.

Good point.

So what happened in Halo 3? How did he lose his rep? He died or something?
