I don't think so. When I go out to a friends thinking its time for some CoD4 fun I get the same lousy impression. I think console FPS gaming is heading down the tubes fast as far as multi-player is concerned. And I see PC gaming starting to decline as well. Some companies have the right steps down to deal with hackers, and here I point at Team-Fortress 2 which seems to do so well on PC, but others don't know where to start.

I play on PC, not on consoles. So yes, this was all on the PC.

I see the future of games being more of the coop aspect rather than pvp in mass proportions. That's where I'm seeing Call of Duty going. MW2 has the whole spec ops thing and the maps don't support a shit load of players like 32vs32. No matter what you say no matter what fps game it is (except for the battlefield games) 64 player servers are always fucking explosives spam and dying in your spawn. I'm looking forward to seeing more games like Borderlands and MW2. It seems like the right way to go seeing as how the community is THIS shitty atm. If we do stop hacking and start to lower piracy quite a lot, I imagine we'll get our dedicated servers back and all of that. Until then, we've got to be watched over in case of that. I'm not just talking about PC though. There was a massive leak of the ps3 and 360 version of mw2. Apparently a lot of people have it already and are streaming it on justin tv. It's crazy. PC doesn't have the game yet though. That says something about the PC community I guess in some way. Also, Zorlac, if you want to play a decent game of CoD4 try playing in tactical servers. Sure the realism rules are a bit annoying at times, but there's ALWAYS an admin in the server. That, obviously, means no hackers.

But yeah, after playing the past 2 days on CoD4, I 100% agree that it's our own fault with what's happening with MW2 right now. Some people are disgusting how far they will go to cheat at a video game.

That`s why I prefer console CoD4 to PC CoD4.

Eh, each side has their strong points and weak points Mindless. Console has a lot of kids and 20 year old frat boys so drunk they can't even make out what game they are playing... Pc has some mature players (like Zorlac) that don't sit there and talk in a prepubescent voice about how the other team is a bunch of noobs even though the other team is doing better. Now for the PC we have a lot more hackers than console and we have a big piracy issue. Also, sorry Zorlac. I don't really think about paragraphs when posting on the forums :\

In Mw2 are just 5 maps supporting 20 or more players. But i prefer small maps with 5vs5 or maybe smaller 4vs4 players. I think I will like mw2 anyway that there are no dedicated servers.

I agree to the points above, but there are good well moderated servers out there, it's just nearly impossible to find them amongst the 15,000 of crappy servers lol
